2007-2008 PIckplace Challenge Rules
Wanna play in a season long pick’em tournament? Take the Challenge! The rules are simple: Pick two home teams and two away teams that will win their games each week The catch? You can’t pick the same team to win or lose in consecutive weeks.
Oh….and one more thing. This year starting Week 11, when the bye weeks end, you pick 3 home and 3 away winners each week through Week 17.
The Pickplace Challenge will test your week-to-week knowledge of the NFL and showcase your forecasting skills. Show ‘em what you know!
2007 Rules
● From Week 1-Week 10, pick four winning teams each week; two home teams and two away teams.
● Starting Week 11- Week 17 (after the bye weeks), pick six winning teams each week; three home and three away.
● You may not pick the same winner and/or loser in consecutive weeks. Example: If you picked San Francisco to lose during week 1, you may not pick them to lose during week 2. If you picked New England to win during week 1, you may not pick them to win during week 2.
● Each week I’ll keep track of everyone’s picks and post them online at pickplace.blogspot.com
● Weekly results are posted Tuesday mornings.
● The top two players with the most wins at the end of the regular season will split the pot...75%/25%…third place gets their buy-in back
● The Pool runs from Week 1 through Week 17….the final standings will be announced after week 17 and winners will receive their prize promptly.
● We don’t use the spread….a win is based on an actual win.
● All picks must be emailed each week to rmanningmullen@gmail.com by Wednesday 6PM PST (9PM EST). If you don’t send your picks by post time you go 0-4 for the week…if you mess up on your picks and double pick teams you had the week before, the pick will be registered as an automatic loss….so don’t forget and always double check your picks!
Be Aware: There will be absolutely no post-deadline entries accepted!!!
And this year also take the Superbowl Bonus Challenge
● For 5 pick the two teams that will face off in Superbowl XLII. The winner who correctly guesses the NFC/AFC Champions will take the pot! No one correctly guesses? The pot will carry over to next season and we can all try again.
● If two or more contestants guess correctly the pot will be split proportionally.
● Superbowl Bonus Challenge picks must be received by 9/5 @ 6PM PST. Sorry, no late entries.
